Aloha! My name is Shay Revuelto, and I’m the founder and medical director for Glowasis! I wanted to take some time to introduce myself to everyone and give a little insight to who I am.
WHO I AM
I’m a proud kanaka owned business being a graduate from Kamehameha Schools. I currently live out on the North Shore and enjoy spending any free time I have in the ocean.
WHAT I AM
I’m an Adult Geriatric Clinical Nurse Specialist licensed as an APRN-Rx in the state of Hawaii. This means that I specialize in adult and geriatric care and have the ability to prescribe medications to my clients! I am also a surgically trained registered nurse. I’ve been working in the operating room for the past 4 years which has exposed me to a variety of high stress situations that have strengthened my clinical skills.
WHY I DO IT
Although I’m extremely grateful for the medical training I received to earn my APRN-Rx license, there was little training on alternative medicine. Don’t get me wrong, Western medication is extremely effective and when used properly can be beneficial. However, I have also dedicated and spent much of my own time learning about vitamins and minerals, the health benefits, and the potential to decrease the use of Western medication. I strived to create Glowasis for health conscious adults who want to supplement their wholesome lifestyle.
